Special Needs Movie Showing

Is your child a wiggle worm and constantly on the go? Is someone in your family more verbally expressive than most? Do you have second thoughts about going to a crowded movie theater because you or your loved one is differently abled?

We’ve Got Good News For You!

The Sun Theatre has a special viewing every Monday at 10am for everyone in our community with special needs. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable movie experience away from the normal crowded theater so you don’t need to worry about disturbing other movie goers.

Here at the Sun Theatre we welcome everyone, every day to the theatre, however, we know sometimes you want to be able to go the movies and completely be yourself.

Movie-goers who attend this special showing span a wide array of special needs.

These may include, but are not limited to:

-Autism Spectrum disorder
-ADD/ADHD
-OCD
-Asperger’s
-Tourrettes
-Early onset Alzheimer’s social group
-Physical, intellectual or mental disabilitie

Reservations for this movie are not required. If you have a group that requires any special accommodations, please call ahead (517) 627-2980 to let us know what we can do to make your experience a great one!
